Jordan W. Felkner, DDS
Dr. Jordan Felkner grew up in the Texas Hill Country and graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 2004. He then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During college, Dr. Felkner decided to pursue a career in dentistry because of its blend of science, engineering, and personal relationships. Dr. Felkner graduated with high honors from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2014. While in dental school, he received several scholarship, performance, and leadership awards. He then completed a post-doctoral Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency in San Antonio. Dr. Felkner spends his weekends with his wife Rachel and four children Ellie, Wesley, Grayson and Henley. As a family, they enjoy swimming, fishing, and camping. Dr. Felkner and his family are excited to be in Lampasas and part of the community. Dr. Felkner serves on the City of Lampasas Zoning Board of Adjustments.
Justin W. Felkner, DDS
Dr. Justin Felkner grew up in Dripping Springs, TX alongside his older brother, Jordan, and three other siblings. He graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 2007. While in high school, Dr. Felkner decided he wanted to become a dentist after taking a welding class and discovering he liked working with his hands. Dentistry seemed like a good opportunity to work with his hands and help people. He attended Brigham Young University with that goal in mind and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship. He then attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry, graduating in 2017 with high honors. Dr. Felkner went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. During his time in Las Vegas, he received advanced training in implant dentistry, treatment of patients with complex medical conditions, and prosthodontics. He loves to be at home with his wife, Kasidy and their three children, Preston, Carson, and Jade. They enjoy exploring the Texas Hill Country and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Cohl Brazil, DDS
Dr. Cohl Brazil received his bachelor’s degree from Texas State University (2009), and his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio (2013). He then completed a one year dental residency at the University of Texas Health and Science Center (2014) where he received extensive training in dental surgery and sedation procedures. In addition to his residency training, Dr. Brazil has completed the Preceptorship in Dental Implantology at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, and continues his professional development through continuing education.
In his spare time he enjoys playing the guitar, running, cycling, canoeing, backpacking, camping, and spending time with his wife London and dog Teva.
Frank M. Leavell, DDS
Dr. Frank (Neal) Leavell pursues his commitment to practicing quality dentistry through an ongoing investment in continuing education. He graduated cum laude from Baylor University with a degree in chemistry. He then graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas before being accepted to one of 12 general practice residency positions available in Texas. In his residency, he completed advanced studies in each of the dental specialties. Since finishing his residency, Dr. Leavell has kept current with the changing science of dentistry by completing 498 hours of continuing education.
Because following current research is important in evaluating new technologies and techniques, Dr. Leavell regularly reads 5 peer reviewed dental journals:
- The Journal of the American Dental Association
- General Dentistry
- The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry
- The Journal of Endodontics
- Dental Clinics of North America
Dr. Leavell is a member of the American Dental Association and a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He serves on the Texas Radiology Advisory Board.
Dr. Leavell chose dentistry as a profession in part for the opportunity it provides to live in and be part of a small Texas town. He began his practice in Lampasas in 1982. Over the past 30 years, he has especially enjoyed developing long-term relationships with multiple generations of Lampasas families.
In 1983 Dr. Leavell married Cherie Leavell, and they raised their three daughters in Lampasas. Cherie has taught in the Lampasas Independent School District for over 20 years.
Dr. Leavell has been committed to working with various Lampasas civic groups to help keep his hometown an excellent place to live and raise families. He has been active with such groups as:
- The First United Methodist Church
- The Lampasas Economic Development Corporation
- The Cooper Spring Nature Park
- The Spring Ho Committee
- The Lampasas Kiawanis Club
- Lampasas Association for the Arts
- The Rollins Brook Hospital Board of directors
When the weekend arrives, Dr. Leavell enjoys raising cattle, training bird dogs, and fishing.
